Helen F. Roth, 88, Chisholm, died Friday, March 1, 1996, in the University Medical Center-Mesabi.

Born in Scranton, Pa., she was a 1925 graduate of Chisholm High School. She received her bachelor of science degree from Stout State University in Menomonie, Wis., and her master's degree from Columbia University in New York. She taught home economics in Chisholm. She then moved to Wauwatosa, Wis., where she taught until her retirement in 1972. She returned to Chisholm in 1972 after retiring.

She is survived by a sister, Clara of Chisholm; and a nephew, Marshall of Duluth.

Private family graveside services will be in the spring in Range Hebrew Cemetery in Virginia. Arrangements are by Rupp Funeral Home in Chisholm.
